Thanks Livingwater and jbuck
What I am planning on for now is to go by the world list that Numista has on its world map. That makes it easier to track for now. I may expand later on, but not too sure on that yet..

So how many countries do you think produced coins, and how far along are you toward that total?

I fail to see how showing some of your acquired coins are going to aid you in your quest.
I suggest that you post your coins on Numista.com. Once posted, Numista can print out a spreadsheet of all your coins with whatever details you wish. issuer; title; year; mint; KM ref.; link; grade; weight; diameter; and more)
I recommend Numista for all collectors to track their holdings (paper money, too)

Quote: So how many countries do you think produced coins, and how far along are you toward that total? That is the question I need the find the answer to. But as stated in my opening post, I'm going by Numista and its world map and according to that map, I have entered into Numista 109 countries from 130 issuers the 'Issuers thing is what I cannot figure out yet. Is it a country that at one point was several countries and each issued coins? (eg. East/West Germany, or the 'Soviet Union that had several break-a-way countries?) But I do need to create a list of what I have and then I can find out what I need.

THANKS-- Quote: I recommend Numista for all collectors Yes, I have an account with Numista - if you read the entire opening statement I do enter my coin into Numista. I just didn't know that I could create a spreadsheet from it.. But thanks for your comments and suggestions with getting a spreadsheet from Numista. It is a great tool for everyone to use..
