The problem with this coin is only experienced collectors will spend that much money for a 1965 FS example - and these people buy the coin - not the holder/label.

Yeah I agree totally. They definitely buy the coin. And on the return policy question, the seller offers 30 days. But I'm assuming the coin has 5 full steps as NGC is generally harder on full step designation than PCGS from my observations.

Yes, it looks like both the grade and FS designation are pretty generous—hopefully it looks clear cut in hand. If you confirm it to be FS and consign it to auction, make sure the auction house gets good closeup pics of the steps. I don't think I would try to cross it over to PCGS.

Very surprised at how high priced these FS designation slab cost once it reach certain MS level, but more surprised with NGC graded example on ebay. |

You may very well be the only person
In the entire world who would spend that kind of money
On a coin like the one listed .Profit potential.nil!
The grade and FS definition, incredibly generous .
Modern grade rarities are a very very tough sell .
IMHO send it back and spend the money on
some Classic Rarities.

I do have a large collection of nice raw and tough date full step Jeffersons. I've looked in vain for years for a 1965 full stepper. ( and a '66) it's crazy rare to actually find one, so I bought that one when I got an offer from the seller. Any coin is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. As there are only a total 6 slabbed by NGC and PGCS combined, I was absolutely willing to pay that for it. Who knows, the population of '65 FS may skyrocket over the next year . But for now I'm okay with the price.

Well from what I can see those steps look good...wondering what the first half of steps are like......however IMO NGC always grades a point or 2 higher than PCGS. That's why when I buy slabbed coins I stick to PCGS, again JMHO.
