1997 Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary of Breaking the Color Barrier in MLB Silver Dollar

Muddler already posted the Gold Half Eagle from the Jackie Robinson commemorative coin program, but I'll add the Silver Dollar.
Jackie Robinson (b. 1919; d. 1972) signed a Major League Baseball (MLB) contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 10, 1947; he had been playing for a Dodger-affiliated minor league team (Montreal) starting in 1946. He made his MLB debut on April 15, 1947. That day marked the first time an African-American played in the MLB during its modern era. (Several African-Americans played Major League Baseball in the 1870s and 1880s.)
Robinson won the Rookie of the Year award in 1947 with a stat line that read 12 home runs, 48 RBI, 175 hits, a .297 batting average and a league-leading 29 stolen bases. Robinson's MLB career lasted from 1947 to 1956.
For his career, Robinson played in 1,382 games, carried a .313 batting average, .477 Slugging Percent, On Base Percentage of .410, an OPS (OnBase + Slugging) of .887 with 1,563 hits, 141 homeruns, 761 RBIs and 200 Stolen Bases.
Robinson was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY in 1962.
