I think buying your white metal sooner then later would be a smart move. Thats just my opinion.
Last time at my LCS I told my guy "I dont think silver is ever going to go down much ever again". The next day BOOM! the $2 dip went up in smoke. Even historical predictions aren't of much use because we are in a world market/situation thats unprecedented. Were breaking new ground.
I keep a list of every data point that would affect the price of silver and there is nothing to support a prediction of much of a crash in price, if any at all. In Industrial and Military technology its usage is quietly setting new highs in a world where year after year supply fails to meet demand. Its the strategic metal of the next generation of technology and not just for the rich west and America/Chinese. Most of the world is re-arming with modern weaponry.
Even silver coins issued by Govt.'s are selling for about the same price as rounds from private mints. Silver bars are breaking down to about the same price per oz no matter the size so whats that telling us ? It must mean high demand and low production/availability. Its a sellers market and probably best to load in at $58 no matter the sting. At the least I'll keep on buying what little I can afford.

yep. I have a number of things in online shopping carts. I'm intending on a purchase this month, hopefully sooner rather than later, and I'm going to continue exchanging as much of our depreciating currency for as much Ag as I can get. $60 silver is almost here, any day now, barring intervention by bankers.

More sellers than buyers at local coin shops right now, so shops are paying less. The average public has no idea how short the supply of silver is in the world market and how critical it is for industry. All sellers see is a quick profit now, not knowing how much money they are leaving behind on the table when the big move starts. Sovereign countries and the wealthy do know, and are draining the exchanges while they can get physical with their paper. Those still holding paper metal like SLV will be left holding the bag when supplies are gone. We are in historic times, I think the end of the paper derivative market is getting close.

Quote: At the least I'll keep on buying what little I can afford. yeah.. me too. i may start biking over to the pawn shop and nabbing whatever I can whenever I can manage to. it would beat online shopping by a mile, no matter what the prices are. i'd accept a slightly higher price over having to wait several days for something to be shipped. from now on, when I pay for it I want it in my hand right then. no more waiting. there are no LCSs here. best I can do is either scoring a private sale from florida keys craig's list or go to a pawn shop & see what they have. silver can still be acquired, it hasn't depleted yet, but the great rush for silver may be near. $60 can happen anytime. i watch the overnight metals markets, beginning at 6pm sunday, checking on it now & then the rest of the night & into the wee hours until I climb into bed, 4-6am. both metals had a bit of jump to them right after midnight. it's encouraging to see.

Sadly, silver then immediately went back down to where it was before that jump. I was really hoping there would be an overnight spike that would lead to significantly higher prices this morning, but it looks like silver really wants to stick around $58 for the time being.

Not a massive speculator but the news out of India essentially restoring Silver as a financial asset against which loans can be written as of April 1 2026 should shake up the market price of Silver. I think that we may be seeing triple digits in Silver sometime in Q1'26

Consider all the slamming the banks are doing with paper to drive the price down and silver is still in the $57 range. That shows how strong it is.

Silver is an industrial metal. Industrial metals are substituted for in many applications depending on price. It has very desirable electrical conductivity but has not been used for that generally already because of cost.
If you are not in the main industry using it you are in the dark about when it will be replaced.

the midnight slam strikes again. this one was even worse than yesterday's. a little bit of a bounceback from silver, gold not so much. but after an hour both have gained back most of that drop. nice rips higher at 4am. silver is just below $59. the bankers are big enough to jail.
