All the Ag I hold is either US 'constitutional' or non-USA of varied compositions. I thought seriously about unloading some surplus when spot was 100+. But selling anything lower than triple9 is problematic in finding reliable buyers w/o paying excessive fees. Plus the timing has to be perfect with all the nausea inducing bouncy-bounce pricing happening. Thus everything is still sitting here; it is not consuming any calories; plus it hurts my arthritic joints just moving it around. If procrastination were an olympic sport, I would have trophies lined up on my mantle.

CoinHunter53562 ,Yeah, I can feel the "unhappy vibes" coming through the screen when he pops up. I went to coins shows and visited coin shops regularly for a couple decades. I remember the fun and excitement at one show back around 2011 when it was just like silver is today. Over hearing all the conversations about it. Buying/selling, it was electric. Today I visit the shows and dealers more so virtually, on YouTube, than in person.. And I see the same energy and conversations. Never until now have I seen any of those dealers call anyone a fool for buying, or selling for that matter, at any level.

When it started to ramp up over the summer and early fall, I took more notice. There's definitely a tone of smugness and/or bitterness and I don't get it. I think there's a term for those that come to a forum with the sole intent to denigrate others: troll or trolling. On many forums, you can only get away with it for so long before you get suspended or banned.

Quote: on't forget about unloading buckets full in the summer. Yeah I suppose I would definitely feel bitter and turn Cynical about silver especially if the price more than doubled after that that's why I say act rationally not emotionally. I sold a little awhile ago, just a little. I bought a little recently, just a little. Scale in, scale out. Nothing wrong with taking a little profit at the highs, or buying more at the lows. Plenty of people buy 1 or 10 ounces a week/month regardless of what the price is. That is the absolute wisest way to do it. Some people just buy because they love to collect and don't care about how much it's gonna sell for.

Quote: "Any one buying right now at these levels truly needs a reality check !" I will admit I kinda felt the same way when silver was topping $100 and heading past $110 and looking like it might hit $120. But he actually said this back when silver was at or slightly below $50 and anybody buying at that level could have easily made a killing a few months later and would still be in pretty good shape right now if they didn't sell at the peak.

They tend to split the group into factions. I am not here to judge anybody for buying or selling. We can buy, sell, comment on theories for doing each, discuss technical analysis, or just guess, reasons on what we think will happen next and why. But I don't want to make anyone feel bad about their personal choices.

So. What did I miss? Still got the 70s playing from yesterday. Good thing I slept through it. Oh, yeah, and I was wrong about not going below $70 for the rest of the year. At least it was brief! This time...

I hear ya. Unfortunately, FOMO is real and people jump on the bandwagon at the wrong time. Those are the ones regretting buying. I personally pulled back dramatically when it hit mid-40s and regret that now but at the time it seemed like the right move. I even sold a little at the low 50s mark (oops) and when it was in the low 90s (oops a little too soon but ok with it now). It's ok to have a little fun on a forum but to repeatedly be a negative Nancy and resort to name calling is bizarre.

Even if I decided to sell my physical above $100 it would have been substantially below whatever the spot was by the time you got to the dealer. Dealers paying $10-$15 below, Silver swinging as much as $20-$30 a day. Did anyone truly get out exactly at the top, and get $115-$121 really? And was that really the top? Everything was/is moving so fast. Who really knows exactly what will happen next?

At least it was brief! Well not exactly wrong. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but Silver closed the normal trading day above $70 and opened the normal session at above $70. I'll disregard whatever happened after hour's and blame it all on paper market shenanigans, and I won't count it unless it happens during normal hours. Just this time That, and also $60 was within the currently expected 60 day low range, glad we got that over with. Now how about they start pushing on those upper ranges next, shall we?

Since I bought most of my silver back years ago when it was still around $20 or so, I keep trying to remain positive every time it drops. Sure, it was exciting when it was at $120, but I can certainly live with it at $110. And, well, $100 is still really, really good, right? Heck, $90 is a lot more than I paid for it, so need to be greedy. And, yes, $80 is a bit disappointing if I'm being honest here, but all things considered I can't really complain. As for $70, well...

People that bought around $20 and I think even everyone else that bought at $30, $50, $70, $90 were all playing with the houses money when it hit $100-$120 though for a very brief time. How much really was there to lose by letting it ride and seeing what happens. What if it went to the $145 expected range high? How do we know it's not going to get there? Just the other day it hit $90 again, yet another opportunity to get out, if anyone really wanted to.

Quote: yet another opportunity to get out, if anyone really wanted to. Indeed. And, as I've said before, I'm not actually looking to get out any time soon, since my gold and silver holdings are really just to supplement my retirement if I end up needing it and/or to have something to leave to my son as an inheritance. It's just that, when silver hit $120 and seemed poised to keep going higher, I started think that maybe I could actually sell some of it off and retire at bit earlier than planned...
