Thanks Everest. You have been around long enough to know that we give 48 hours before revealing the grade so that forum members can assess their own thoughts on grade without being influenced by the TPG grade.

Having said that, the coin you referenced is pictured below. It was clearly scratched in the left obverse field and is a cleaned coin in a straight holder. It is an unattractive, misgraded coin and would not have been happy with this example. I buy the coin, not a grade on a holder.

You are correct NS I have been around long enough to realize if you want to play GTG it should be in the Title of your post or something like, you vs PCGS, thoughts on grade, etc. Thank you for your prompt reply to my question. Congratulations on your new purchases.

This is the grading forum. I don't ask people to guess the grade. I ask folks for their thoughts on how they would grade a coin independent of the TPG's opinion. If the coin happens to have been graded by a TPG we try provide that after 48 hours as one opinion among many.

You are correct. This is a grading forum. I am so used to seeing people including myself putting GTG or You vs NGC/PCGS or thoughts on grade & etc. My apologies. Thank you for your patience with me. All the best.
