Amazing coin @Keith67. I had no idea this issue existed, and enjoyed reading about it in my research. This is definitely a numismatic item worthy of a more detailed description of how & why it came to be. My GTP guess $2400

Quote: a numismatic item worthy of a more detailed description Absolutely. 1945-46 Saudi Arabia 4 pounds Gold medal/Gold Disc. specifically a medallion struck at the US Philadelphia mint, created for ARAMCO (Arabian American Oil company) as payment for oil royalties. Most of these medallions were melted into bullion, but a few were sold as numismatic items.
