. . . . Congrats to Hondo! Quote: took the time to figure that out - figured it had to be something special since it was the featured coin this week. And that's a nice score, mcshilling! I have been studying these coins that jbuck displays from the membership, but sometimes it seems the real going price is not the true price the membership paid for the coin that is posted. So I've been doing while guessing on the price of most of these "Guess the Coin Price" games.

Congrats to HondoB for the round win. We have some fun podium battles for the upcoming final round. GMS5 and mcshilling for the gold medal and 4 others for the bronze. Should be fun to watch - best of wishes to the players. Many thanks to jbuck for hosting this best of all internet coin games.

Quote: Jbuck, I then must assume my coin volunteer is for next season? I do not have anything coming up for you.

Referring to Round 9, Mcshilling and I got together when I found that he was looking to expand his Canadian large cent collection. He wanted 2-3 lower grade coins for each of his holes for his kids, to go along with XF/AU coins for upgrades for him through the Vicky series. After 40 years of collecting, I stopped actually shopping/trading Vicky large cent varieties 5-6 years ago. At one time, I had over 1000 1859's alone, but starting selling off the lesser parts of my collection through a site-member to sell thru his face-book shop/portal. I been giving coins to him for a nice share of the profits and got another nice stack of cash yesterday that brings, we estimate, over $10k, mostly Vicky cents, especially the 59's with Haxby numbers. I was very generous to mcshilling, as a newer member of the LC Variety club. He needed more and I had excess, so the fit was good. I like your little auction that you have going here on the site. I never knew it was here, but I'm in to other things to pass my time.
