Quote:I do think that the mint only offering 232 sets is just plain wrong. Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should. The mint could have produced a nice set closing out the series that would have made a nice profit yet not restricted the number of complete Lincoln Cent sets down to 232. It's a real kick in the nuts to those who have been buying mint and proof sets year after year. Perhaps they were running out of time, but they only had to mint them this year. Nice sets with presentation quality documentation could have been produced later and the sets released in 2026. Preach it, brother!

Quote: These Omega pennies will also be reviewed by Certified Acceptance Corporation (CAC) to confirm their superior quality and eye appeal. Why do I get the feeling every single one of them will have the green bean approval sticker. I'm curious if the one with the grubby finger prints will be one of them. I'm sure they probably made more than just the 232 so they can cherry pick the best ones to send off for grading. I bet all the big wigs will get a set as well. This ending just seems so unorganized. I guess that's what happens when its decided to end towards the end of production. Would have been nice that they decided before the 2025's were produced and included the Omega mark on all the 2025's. From what I have heard they are still going to include the cent in the annual mint sets and proof sets for the collector in mind. But at this point I wish they don't. It ended, just STOP already. They obviously don't have the collector in mind when they pull this limited 232 coin set money grab. We don't need more NIFC coins that are only available from the mint. It forces everyone to have to buy from the Mint because you know the secondary market will jack the price up. At least sell just the cents as a separate item so the poor guy that wants to get a set for each of his kids or grandkids for their cent collection doesn't have to buy the whole set.

I wonder how long it will be before someone starts up a 5th party grading service to review the CAC stickers?

PCGS should start stickering CAC slabbed coins.

The live auctions are up. Most of the lots are currently around $10k. The grades of the circulating cents are significantly below MS69 and most show spotting. I'm going to try to get a set. I don't care as much about grade, but I imagine that some of the higher grade ones will go for significantly more than they rest. https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/a...-10001-10232
