If it is golden, you need to hydrate.

I'm just seeing this thread today. My heart goes out to you and your wife. Wishing your wife a speedy and full recovery. Falls are serious, and slow to heal. Take care of yourself, too. Taking care of the caregiver matters. My very best to both of you, and hoping for a healthy and uneventful 2026 for all.

Update on the wife,
Went into the hospital Dec. 2 and then they moved her to a nursing home for rehabilitation for the leg on Jan. 8 , rehab going good but can't put weight on it yet. Yesterday we went to see the DR. , took xrays and said come back in 4 weeks for another evaluation. Not completely healed yet. Not what we wanted to hear.
Side note, she hates it in that nursing home, it's going to be a long 4 weeks and 2 more on top of that.

It's taking a long time to heal. I hope she gets better soon. Sending positive waves from down under.

Thanks Steve, DR. said it should have been operated on but with her medical history he's letting it heal on it's own.

Darn, mcshilling, I'm sorry to hear about that. Still pulling for her and you. All the best, buddy.

Update, She came home yesterday, that's 4 months away. She still has to use a walker till she gets her strength back. On April 29/2026 she goes in for shoulder replacement, the fun starts again.

Best of luck with that surgery. Shoulder replacement can be a tough one.
