Fantastic coins, everyone!

Man, this is really making me jealous!
To be honest, the more I think about it, I really like the design of the Liberty nickel. I'd have to say, I think it's a lot more interesting IMO than the Buffalo nickels, and probably even the majority of Jeffersons as well.

They are definitely even nicer to look at in higher grades. I saw some beautiful examples on ebay in EF condition or so that I am honestly tempted to purchase.

Here's one I saw. 1900. Might have a little cleaning to it. Fantastic looking coin, though.

In my opinion, the Liberty 5 Cent Nickel is most definitely not as interesting to look at as the Buffalo nickel, not even close....
I'll give the Liberty 10% higher over the Jefferson...

Eh, I don't know. I think it's pretty cool, though.

This is my best looking one that I have. 1883 no cents. It is surprising to me that this only cost like 10 dollars.

My others are highly worn... They definitely look better in at least XF condition, which these are obviously not.

Even though it's kinda breaking my own rules in purchasing an album for a series that only has one page, I kind of wish I had one.

Thanks, Dearborn.

I've decided to take on a new "project," since my Lincoln cents will be done soon in terms of the capacity of what I am planning to do with the album.

I found a Dansco Liberty nickel album on ebay and ordered it. I know I said I wasn't going to do this, but I figured it might be a fun little project to try to complete whatever coins I can in XF grade. It's a two page album, and I figured whatever coins I "upgrade," I can put into the second blank page.

I also purchased 4 XF Liberty nickels to start with. The 1900 I had pictured a few posts ago, 1909, 1910 and 1912 Philadelphia.

Who knows, I may have made a mistake here! But I guess I'll find out! I think it might be a fun series to try to complete as many coins as I can and match them all up. In nicer grades, the Liberty nickel is a really beautiful coin.

The prices on ebay, at least from the seller I've been using so far, have not been too bad. I think the most expensive one was under 20.00 dollars. Out of the 33 coin series, there are only 3 key date coins that are fairly expensive.

Awesome, nothing wrong with having a dedicated album and now you don't have to debate on getting it. No mistakes, you'll have the album to work on and enjoy the process.

Perhaps! We'll see how it plays out. I sometimes tend to act impulsively. I will see how it looks when I get it, though.

I will definitely for sure keep the coins, though. The album cost a pretty penny.

I'm sure I can. But yeah, I am prone to making mistakes. Lol.

There is a return policy however. So, I suppose if I can't find a use for it, back it will go!
The seller, ironically, had two Dansco Liberty nickel albums. One only had the first page and was 50 dollars. The second one, which is the one I purchased, had both pages, and cost substantially more.
Yikes!

It is never a 'mistake' to buy a Dansco album.

It is definitely going back lol

This was an impulse purchase And it was NOT cheap.

I opted to keep the coins, though.
Pretty decent.

I decided to try to organize them as the official Dansco has them.

I really like this design and series and as I progress with it, I will opt to find it into a special home I think. For now, I'm keeping them with the Buffalo nickels or in the back of my blank nickel album. My plan is to basically set up my own blank styled just like Dansco's official album potentially.

This can be done for a fraction of the price that you can purchase an actual Dansco Liberty nickel album.
