Contest is officially closed and we have a Winner! First, no one guessed the number correctly. This was honestly possible if you looked at the introduction. Reading through it, you will find in order, the words "life" "the universe" and "everything." If you are familiar with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, then you will know that the answer to life, the universe and everything is...42. So the correct answer is 42 (see photo for the actual coins in the box), which makes Spence the winner with a guess of 47. Interestingly his guess was based a different, but perfectly rational reasoning and still came out the winner. This is the first contest where I have not included a bat reference somewhere in the mix, which was the red herring since those who have seen my previous contests would think to go that way. So Spence if you would send me a PM I will get that 2000 WAM out in the mail. Congratulations to Spence and thanks for all who played along! Happy New Year to all.  |
