I'm sure it will do nothing... and I likely won't even receive a response... but I just sent an email to Mint leadership expressing my dismay and disappointment in these prices.

Everyone is upset about the pricing on the proof and uncirculated sets. I think the real issue is the production quantities. Who thought 190000 uncirculated sets was enough. That is about the same number as 2025. These are all unique one year designs.
I remember 1976 and they sold tons of sets and flooded circulating coins everywhere. Who thought these numbers were good?
Don't blame the mint director yet. He has only been there for a week.

It's not just upcoming products. They raised the prices on past products too! $124.50 for the 2021 Mint Set. $40 for the single reverse proof Innovation Dollars. $61 for a single roll of Innovation Dollars. $60 for the Innovation Dollar Proof set. $45 for a 1.5" bronze medal.

Unbelievable.

How can uncirc sets go from $29 to $124? Last I checked there was no gold or silver in them. That's gouging. Maybe they know that many collectors will abandon the PM products and figure they have to make up for it somehow.

Even Washington looks angry about this on the 2026 quarter.

I wonder if that's recoverable at the end of battery life, or if that material just no longer exists?
Oh, it will continue to exist. However, recovering it may be cost prohibitive—for now.
