Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Well done Hondo and the rest of the "finishers". This contest sure is a lot of fun and very challenging. Thank you NS.
The last container looked like it was the same depth as a roll of nickels and about two rolls high. It seemed that NS may have designed this container to hold rolls of nickels! Voila, 18 rolls looked like a perfect amount. Adding 70 more nickels to account for the nickels stacked above the rim did me in.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Quote: It seemed that NS may have designed this container to hold rolls of nickels! I appreciate the kind thought - but nope, it was designed to be a piece of functional wood art useful for everyday life. Quote: This contest sure is a lot of fun and very challenging. Thank you NS. My pleasure to give something back to the tremendous CCF forum and you folks that make it happen. There are IMHO some great prizes to be awarded after we complete 3 more rounds. I'm enjoying watching you make your best guesses. This seems to be a good time to publish an update on the players eligible to receive the Special Prize, and where they stand in the contest.Reminder - the Special Prize is a very limited edition box I made, in fact my most recent design. There are a total of 6 in the world -- and this example is one of only 2 still available. It looks like this: It was featured as the Round 7 container, where it held 680 nickels. So ... the current contest standings with Special Prize eligible players listed in green font.

I'm looking forward to seeing how your Round 8 guesses come in. Who is going to secure the podium slots and David hand-made prizes?
