Congratulations to Greasy Fingers for the Round win. Well played. Somehow - none of us were even close to the price for this lovely SLQ. We collectively missed something. I would enjoy hearing from DoctorBurnzy about this coin. Many thanks to jbuck for all your efforts to host this greatest of all internet coin games. I appreciate all that you do for all of us.

I acquired a 1920d AU 50 for my toned set I'm building and at the same time I was looking for a nice slabbed 1920d with this sort of color/look. A dealer friend who picked this up showed me what he had and we both agreed that this was VF30/35. It's in a PCGS VF30 slab. He offered it to me first from wherever he acquired it and gave me a day to decide. I went looking on ebay and other sites that evening and the following morning and found many VF30 in VF35 holders and even some in XF40 holders. Some of those I wouldn't have straight graded. I made the retail offer of $285 but he wouldn't budge from his asking price of $345, but I bought other coins in the deal and got some wiggle room on those After viewing all the 1920d which were graded at VF30/35 and XF40 I kept coming back to this one even though an extra $60 it was. The look and its color just sealed the deal for me.

I'm still wondering what the grade was on that S VDB cent? Anyone?

The 1909 S cent Quote: PCGS at an XF-45, but methinks it is closer to an AU-55,

Again, I'll go first! Does not show if it's graded, so I'll say:
$575
