Sorry, I couldn't resist.
I did kind of race to get to 50...but then I realized, I don't have anything to sell here.
I guess I will just have to settle for participation and knowledge.
I guess I will just have to bear that burden.

Greetings! The surf looks great!
As a newbie here, with some forgetable expertise over the years that may come in handy, in cleaning coins, from brush to ferric chloride to bleach, to steel needles, previously-with me, a coin is surely going to come out shiny!

But now with learned lessons from CCF under my belt, cleaning's a thing of the past!

Here's something new for me, to bring out the nice tone from dull coins, just use a wad of very soft clean tissue paper, nothing else, rub not more than 20 times in one direction only, you'l see the patina come out.

The Never Ending Story is something I encourage all eligible members to participate in. It is a lot of fun and does venture into the collecting world from time to time.

I was lurking for awhile. I checked out the site because of an invite I got in an ebay lot that I won.

After reading many topic threads, I could see that this community had very knowledgeable participants.

I really like identifying coins, so I am always looking there. I have also had some great help ID'ing some of my more confounding pieces. (Though I still have a Dortmund piece up there that many have looked at to no avail.)

I am nearing 50 posts. But I probably will just keep doing what I've been doing.

I think I've gone past the 50 , both ways I think, because I'm also past 50years
now what comes next?....

Just a positive comment here from a new one, One of the things I greatly liked from the start about this site, are the humorous one-liner comments from our "pillar-elders" here, there is nothing more energetic for me, more zesty, than a morning coffee and a good one-liner laughter that spills my coffee all over the place!

Thanks guys!
