Thanks D. You are right, that definitely looks like portrait H3. I wonder if this is a made in China special? I'll see if the seller has any more info on the coin.

Yes, I told myself I wasn't going to get into the Canadian half dollars, but since I've picked up a few I discovered they're addictive. Guess I'll never learn. Same thing for the incredible Voyageur dollars. Great coins.

This is my most interesting 50¢. Its a 1953 with a huge die crack just to the right of the hoof. Some nut polished the coin, but still...

Nice coin, Stunet, why do people do such foolish things, as polish coins?

As, a rule the Canada .50 cents are usually pretty nice on the reverse.

Count me in also, I have some older silver halves, nickel halves and buy a least a couple of rolls when the new issues come out at the mint. It is getting harder to get the rolls from the mint because they are minting less rolls lately. And they are gone quickly. I have to continually access the mint site. take care

I picked up a beauty last week from the C.C.N. Editor. I purchased an I.C.C.S., 1932, EF-45, half dollar. Anyone looking to pgrade, get a hold of Greg Jones of Lighthouse Numismatics, Halifax, N.S., he now has my VF-20!
