All three bids by the same person, with zero feedback. Me thinks the scam has just escalated a level.

Bidding history shows 3 bids, all from the same bidder, all for £1000. I think this listing has to be some wierd practical joke.

Maybe he was dared to list it for a ridiculous price, or I suppose he could be teetering on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

The coin may be worth a few dollars at best to a variety/error collector if it's struck through oil/grease.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Here is a scenario. Bidder buys it now at $1,000,000. Opts for the cash on pick up option, doesn't turn up. Seller lodges un-paid Item dispute, buyer says he paid and produces same coin with date removed. Seller produces same coin as well, however has stated in listing that he knows of three of these coins. Seller stuck with ebay fees that would buy a nice car, and a probable legal battle with ebay. Moral of the story? I have too much time on my hands.

I have a 1984 $1 without a year/date.

I took it to a well known coin shop in Sydney and I was advised the coin had been tampered with.

Also, a aunc 2006 $1 with a very faint 6 - but with no signs of tampering - go figure....?
