Regarding twisted E's-----I have seen as many as 50 of them on the 20 cent 1858 Vicky series.
The shape of the E makes it stick a bit in the die and get twisted when extraction occurs after the strike----very common with other doublings on the same coin.
I have seen 22 doublings on a single coin----anything is possible---especially with Vicky's.---
