That's a very pretty coin. In the U.S. we would probably call that a "herd" or "quorum". Poor Queen has enough problems and now a Cud on her nose. Sorry folks, I really do admire the Queen.
Rest in Peace

Very nice looking coin.

I too admire the Queen, especially after our trip to Europe where I found nothing but respect for her!

It does not show too well, but there is a small Cud to the side of the Queens nose.

Steve

Steve, that ' Cud' is actually part of the design.Ian Rank-Broadley actually designed this portrait from life.It is a very natural portrait of our Queen,as it depicts what she really looks like.I've never met her,but I would like to.The closest thing to royalty I've met has been 2 former Governors-General of New Zealand,Sir Paul Reeves (Governor-General of New Zealand from 1985 until 1990),& my very good friend Sir Michael Hardie-Boys (Governor-General of New Zealand from 1996 to 2001).I met Sir Paul Reeves in late 1999 & early 2001.I first met Sir Michael Hardie-Boys shortly after he became Governor-General (on Anzac Day in 1996 in fact). He & I eventually became friends after being formally presented to him at a charity function for the Nelson Mandela Trust at Government House here in Wellington,New Zealand in mid-1997.He is both an Anglican & a fierce Royalist like me.

Aidan.

There appear to be two types of obverse. One has a Cud where the chin and neck met. From the number of rolls I've opened to date the chin Cuds are fairly common. The cheek Cud and the large and small rabbits only occur on coins with the chin Cud. It would sem that the small rabbit is the start of the larger one. I also think the Cud must hurt the poor wabbit, because he's obviously feeling awful sick.

Hi to All,
I have been getting the Mint Sets so that I get a complete set of Uncirculated coins, and fill in the remainder with the carded ones. Does anyone else do this? Regards.
Rest in Peace

Hi mate, Yes, that's my 'modus operandi' also. I try to keep full date set of all circulating denominations but it's starting to get a bit expensive, six (?) different dollars alone issued for 2007, maybe more to come. They might start and put mint marks on the cricket coin? Regards from the Wide Bay-Burnett, west of the range.
