Jim,

It depends on the coin. In this case, the verdigris was completely removed in about 10 seconds with just a soak like you see in the picture (a few drops on the surface). However, I treated both sides since I'm submitting to PCGS. I allowed the the coin to fully dry for 24 hours (both sides), put it in a plastic flip and gave it to my dealer. Now I have to probably wait 3-4 months to get it back.

I'll be curious to know how it grades. I'm guessing at MS64 and I hope you dont end up regretting cleaning it.
