I would have been 6 then, and didn't start to collect coins for 4 more years. Then I collected for about a year before we robbed while on vacation. It took the wind out of my sail, and I didn't start back up collecting until within the last year.

Edited to add: I wish I knew now, what I should have learned back then! I wish I would have picked collecting back up after that.

I wish I had discovered coins in the 1990's at those prices rather than in 2007-8!

Fatboy,

That might have been a good deal, or an overgraded coin. The Graysheet for then shows a F as $125. Considering that listed price is close to 20% below sheet price I would wonder about the grading.

Oh and sheet for XF was $145 and Unc was $180
