Thought I would restart this topic: What's in your zoo? This is a 2006 Nepal 5 Rupees note with 2 Yak, Mt. Everest, & the National Crest on the reverse.

Here's a series of birds in my zoo coming your way! Up first is this 1985 Trinidad and Tobago 1 dollar note. The birds to the left are the Scarlet Ibis (Eudocimus ruber). The Coat of Arms include the scarlet ibis, the cocrico (native to Tobago) and the hummingbird. The three ships represent the Trinity as well as the three ships of Columbus. The three peaks were principal motifs of Trinidad's early British colonial seals and flag-badges.

Here's another Trinidad and Tobago 1 dollar from 1977 again with two flying scarlet ibis at left. The red in the bill is very striking.

Sticking in the Caribbean and birds, here's a 1982-86 Jamaican $2 dollar bill with a Red-billed streamer trail at centre.

Nice bump, Diverdude!
The last entry prior to your bump was before I started collecting world notes, so I missed this the first time around. I'm not near my collection at the moment but I have a large zoo of my own to share. This is a GREAT reason to revisit my world notes and catalog the subjects of each.
I wonder if the OP will ever return... it's been nearly 7 years since thai-vic's last visit.

This banknote of 20 Dollars from Belize from 2003 is really a zoo. It has many South American animals in the back side. I keep this banknote since I collect "Monkeys on money" and it has one monkey. Part of the identifications done by me and I could be wrong: In the left box: Keel-billed Toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus) Baird's Tapir (Tapirus bairdii). Upper row from left: Greater Dog-like Bat (Peropteryx kappleri*) Black Howler Monkey (Alouatta caraya) Northern Tamandua (Tamandua mexicana) Ringtail (Bassariscus astutus). Lower row from left: Kinkajou (Potos flavus) Collared Peccary (Pecari tajacu) Red Brocket (Mazama americana) Jaguar (Panthera onca) Queen Elizabeth II; Head of Kinich Ahau - the Mayan god of the Sun; Jaguar (Panthera onca): * Could be Lesser Dog-like Bat (Peropteryx macrotis)
