Those are two great finds. They both appear in very good condition. I found my at the restaurant I work in. Where did you find yours?

@WVU I was a teller in a central cash vault, so we processed millions of dollars a day both from commercial clients and other branches. The neat thing was our bill scanners at the time would throw out anything that wasn't recent as a "suspect", so the work was done for me. I just had to fight the other tellers for things.
This was in the early 90s.
Now I have the tellers watching out for me, but it isn't the same :)

It figures. The bank tellers get all the good finds.LOL But be careful getting too many tellers involved in looking for you they might find something really good and get bitten by the collecting bug and forget all about you.

April 13, 1976 was the first day of issue for the new Bicentennial $2 note. To help celebrate, the Post Offices offered to cancel a stamp affixed to the note with the date of issue as sort of a cross between a note and a First Day Cover (in the stamp world).
They are regarded as collectors items. Generally, of course, as value depends on condition.

@Left:
Nice to see a $2 given in change! Probably no value above face, though (unless it's in uncirculated condition).

Keep in mind that not all tellers are programmed the same way You did nothing wrong. Maybe explain that you're a collector and they'd understand more. Just gotta keep trying!

I use the US bank close to my house which I dont even have an account in. (dont have an account in any bank..just the bank of dad :D) But every month I come by and look at about $500 of old bills and buy for face the ones I like or would look good in my collection. I have all the tellers and the manager looking out for old bills. And the best part is I didnt even have to ask for them to do it they offered! The trick....becoming a teenager again
