In addition to the 1934s and 1950s, I got a couple of small head $50s today that a teller had in her mutilated stack. They are far from mutilated. Both of them are perfectly crisp and look brand new. I asked her why those were in with the other mutilated bills, and she said that ANY of the older, small head notes that come in go straight to mutilated because no one wants them. That practice started when a customer came in with an older $20 that the local Subway refused to take because it was "obviously counterfeit". Amazing.
I left my name and number, and the teller said she would call me as she accumulated more of the older stuff.

Never hurts to save it I guess, it always has a face value even if it doesn't have a numismatic one in that condition. Nice finds WVBlueandGold! It's great to have a teller help you out It's amazing how people can't tell between old legit money and fake ones even though they were supposed to be handling them, especially tellers. I've had junior tellers look in amazement on my '69 Voyageur pocket piece when I show it to them and ask, "Did any of these come in?" Unfortunately, when they call their senior tellers for assistance, they just say, "Sorry, but we haven't seen those in years."

About 2 years ago I got this 1928 Series G $2 bill from my local bank. Pretty neat, huh?

I just received a nice 88-A $1 in change, I'd grade it a nice AU.

Technically not a find. A dealer deliberately gave this to me in change at the coin show this weekend. I know it is not worth much, but I still think it is fun.

I wonder if he has more? I'd take a couple 100 dollar bills and make change with him for those 1934 FRNs.

He certainly had more. He pulled that from a stack of fives, tens, and twenties in his wallet. Notes are not my thing, but if they were, I would have swapped out a few of my fresh 2013 twenty dollar notes.

I don't think any of these $100 bills (1996 series) are worth keeping, put I just want to ask to be absolutely positive:D The $50 bill is just the lowest serial number bill I've found yet. Thanks.
