I book marked that site Moe posted .. I really need to check it out. For me it will just have to be something I need to put some time and effort into, to get the system down. And maybe a few more books.....
I have always had a interest in CBH's, this post has made get a fever for them.
Moe I hope this post can go on longer .. after you get the 32 days .. even if it is just to pick some up, where members missed posting .. or some new purchases.

It will continue just as long as folks post comments or pictures...... or just as effectively , crass jokes and trash talk.

If this is Friday, it must be 1836 day. I have no idea on the Overton numbers (Zeewool, I am counting on you to help me out) First up And next her sister

Those are easy ones jfransch....the first one is O-108 (which, if you look very closely at the '8' in the date, you should find remnants of a '3' that was struck there in error, and then overstruck by the '8').
The second one is O-119.

Well, this is just about the end of the lettered edge CBH.......very nearly my end as well. I would like to share with you with something that 'might' make attributions on these particular CBH a bit easier, (maybe not though)..... I take pictures in my head of the coins that I have seen, but I realize that most folks tend to rely on a book with poor images. I would think that this would be next to impossible, but if you can 'really' see those pictures well enough, and read the descriptions, try adding this to your repertoire....... On the obverse......notice the 'exact' direction that the inner most point of star #13 is pointing in relationship to the lower hair curls. Notice the 'exact' direction that the innermost point of star #7 is pointing in relationship to the cap, headband, or hair curl. On the reverse.....notice the relationship between the last "S" in STATES and the "S" in PLURIBUS. Notice the the relationship of the scroll end with the letters AM in AMERICA. Notice the relationship of the "5" in 50 with the eagle's claws. Notice the relationship of the tip of the olive branch with the "C" in 50 C. Notice that some of the peripheral lettering might be above, below, or at a different slant than adjacent letters. The bust is of the working hub on the obverse..........The the word "LIBERTY" in the headband, the stars and date were added to the dies individually, and are subject to differentiation. The eagle and the scroll are of the working hub on the reverse..........All lettering (including that in the scroll) was added to the dies individually, and is subject to differentiation. I hope that this might help out a little bit in future attributions.

OK, here is my last offering for this thread; I may have to look into getting a couple new additions after all these beautiful coins!

I apologize for the date being out of order, but I did not find any 1836 CBHD's that I liked and in my price range. Please forgive the crude photos, I took them with my Droid. So here she is, my very first Capped Bust half dollar... Let me know what you think. I cannot reveal the price because this will be the next round of GTP!
