What can one say about the holidays? It is a time when families that have moved or became separated reunite and catch up with each other. It is a time when people forget about everything else, and just realize how well we have it.

Everyone likes to think that Christmas is all about the children, and it is.
We are all children! Children of our God, whomever that may be!
Happy <whatever you celebrate> everybody!
I am so thankful for so many things, especially this forum. I have been a member for less than a year, but you guys make me feel like I have been here from the start. Thank you all!

Christmas reminds us we are not alone. We are not just people moving around, going here, going there, aimlessly, but are a part of something, which holds and sustains us. As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December's bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same. Christmas shows us the ties that bind us together, threads of love and caring, woven in the simplest and strongest way within the family. Also, whether you believe in the War or not....Many, Many of our children and other loved ones are putting their lives on the line every second of every hour of every day for our freedom. Please take time to remember them during this holiday season.

I am truly blessed to be an active member of the human race and of this wonderful online community. I wish for everyone here the same peace and joy that I continue to experience as I move right along in life - now 65 years - and to those here who are battling adversity, I wish strength for you to continue your good fight. May God bless you all, whether you believe in Him or another heavenly power.
latman100, thanks for starting this thread. I would prefer, if possible, that you donate the coin that you offered if I posted to a young person in Australia to help them get started in this wonderful hobby.

All those that have sent me their address, I will get your coins in the mail this weekend. I will also post pictures of the other coins to be won Sunday Australian time.

Christmas is a time for family amongst other things. While myself and the 147 others aboard the LoneStar may not be with our families physically they are with us in our hearts. Having access to my online family helps as well.

I agree that Christmas is for kids (small or even the big ones!) but it is also a time to reflecting on the year which is almost over.
I have found that each year a different challenge has presented itself but somehow each year, we have managed to make it to the New Year.
I have always wondered why some people can't act in the Christmas spirit all year round but then again if everyone was the same, the world would be a boring place.
So I would like to add my voice into wishing everyone Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc.
Ken

Everyone who has sent me their address has a coin on the way. As for the pictures I promised, I am having problems with my camera STILL after it was supposedly fixed so can't get them up just yet. Watch this space in the next day or two and I should have the problem solved and pictures up, fingers crossed.

You know, hearing the stories of the members here makes me even more thankful and grateful. Even though it has been 5 years since I lost my sister, I can relate to those of you that have pain in your family. I am truly blessed with a wonderful wife, two kids, one grandchild and two parents still alive. My mom is 85 and my dad is 88. He could still whip my butt if he could catch me. I am thanksul for a wonderful life and thankful for the Lord giving me grace and all its granduer through his son Jesus Christ. Not wanting to offend others, I think we all should worship in the way we want to. Love the CCF family. Hey latman100-maybe we will meet one day "On the Dark Side of the Moon".
