I once posted a comment somewhere that maybe we could put a bunch of altered cents in a treasure box for future collectors to find. One can only imagine who or what alien from a distant planet would find them, and what they would think.gasman96

I have two or three of these, as well as some pennies that were run over by a train. I even saw an elongated dime machine once.

I just never could really get into it though. To each his own I suppose.

Ok here it is

I have 9 here plus a couple I can't locate at this moment.

I like these because they remind me of the places where they came from and I like the machines that make them.

I like collecting them because for the most part you do not have to spend big money to get a nice collectible item

I would like to have any that are not in my collection yet

Now to the pics

Pretty cool! I actually have only 1 left!

I don't think you can use the PM system yet (50 posts). Look for an e-mail from me.

I guess I have to dig up my "collection" (may be 10 or less) for pictures..... worth the effort (10% increase == get one for digging up 10 and take pictures).

Actually, that was the last one I had SilentAsian4Hire. I have that "token" left if you'd like to have it.

Scooby... that token is very cool and I would love to have it, if you don't mind parting it. Thanks.

To me the reverse is as important, or more important as the obverse on an Elongated Coin. I like to look for Elongated Coins where the coins obverse shows on the reverse of the Elongate, and further that the date is positioned parallel to the rolling access.

I once had a Colombian Elongate that was rolled on an 1885 Liberty nickel with the date parallel to the roll direction! Kinda wish I still had it.
