Here is a small update on my 25 dollars in penny rolls (I also got 30 bucks in nickels) I have opened 17 dollars worth of the pennies so far I have 6 wheats, 32 canadian, and even 4 dimes! I would be done but we got a massive snow storm the last couple days and I have been shoveling my driveway, getting a broken window fixed and I had to shovel my mothers driveway. I am going to take a picture of all them when I am done and hopefully I can get my computer and camera to cooperate to post it

Ok so I finished the rolls and I have 14 wheats, 171 canadian or completely unreadable and damaged coins. I am about to start going through them year by year and look for errors and such. If there is anything anyone is looking for I would hold it out and see what we can do with it. I took a picture of what it looked like on my table and will post it soon

Sounds like you are off to a good start on your time off.

One item on your list I would like to address

Quote:
4. 1999 State Quarters minus the Georgia (same reason as the 2009 Nickels

I am a big fan of State Quarters, and have several complete sets.
But to save members from saving coins that may not have any value
over face.

Not sure what/where you came up with this information.
1999 quarters are good in the proofs and silver proofs. And
1999 P and D quarters are good to keep in high grade, in fact
according to numismedia price guide the PA D, GA P and D in
MS 67 are some of the better quarters to have.

But

IMO collecting State Quarters from circulation .. while .. putting a set together is fun... it might be a very long time before a circulated set will be worth more than face value.

Don't fall into the trap where people will put every coin they find away just because someone told them they are worth more. I have seen
many collection with hundreds of dollars in circulated bicentennial coins, Susan B Anthony dollars or JFK Half dollars.. then after years the collector finds out they are only worth face value.

If I was pulling State Quarters from circulation, I would look for
high grade examples or WI's with extra leaf.

I'd keep anything considered BU and try to make complete rolls. I find that a fun challenge and it gives me the drive to get the next box
