Nothing you do to it is going to increase its value. Yesterday I emeried some objectionable graffiti off of a 5F Napoleon, which is now in MY pocket. Never clean a modern coin. Ancient coins are different animal. The grading companies have a new term, preservation and restoration. A rose is a rose by any other name ...
