I agree with Wheezydog... There's gonna be an encyclopedia of dogs' names on a coin site ... This forum has it all ... As for 3 more: Brittania Harmony Tiffy

I just got back from a 3 day business trip during which I was unable to get on a computer and check names but now that I have, HOLY COW, you guys sure have been hard at work! SpaceAce asked if I could give any hints as to which names I'm leaning towards...and I really had intended to do that when I started the contest, but I'm afraid that if I do that I might squelch your creativity. I'll say two things: Thing one is that someone participating in this contest is going to win a consolation prize. I say that because someone offered up a name that I absolutely loved, but my family turned it down, so the name will not win. But I liked it so much I think it deserves something. Thing two is that I want this name to have some sort of a connection or tie to some characteristic (or anticipated characteristic) of the dog. "Goldie" is a good example of what I am talking about. "Goldie" could relate to the dog's color just like Scarlet related to my old dog's color. But the related characteristic does not have to be a color, and I can GUARANTEE you that the name "Goldie" will not win this contest. (Too trite and too obvious...like naming your son "Boy".) I'll also say that names that derive from coins will not win, unless that name also has some sort of connection to the dog or breed of dog or something else within the name that just...fits.
I hope to have the "prize" in my hands tomorrow so I can photograph it and post it for you to see. If not tomorrow then Saturday for sure.
Thanks again for playing and all the great names!
