@1962penny- I bought it from one a highly-respected ebay seller of ancient coins. I've purchased a few from him and always received something better than expected.

I don't think he knew there was a counterstamp on it and neither did I when I bought it. It wasn't until I posted it on another forum that someone pointed it out.

I still haven't figure out what it is.
