What, no posts in over 12 hours? Where's the participation, where's the excitement? I could probably fill out half the 1800's by myself, but what's the fun of that? It's a long way to the 1500's! C'mon, penny man, drop a few images of Indians or something. Meanwhile.. a lovely baby-head 1892 : And here's a pretty British India rupee:

Nice timing, bomndk! We must have hit 'send' at the very same moment. Here's a smaller version of the 'baby-head' for 1891 :

I'm using this thread as a great opportunity to sort and photograph some unorganized acquisitions and get the images on disc. Thread also dovetails perfectly with my primary goal in collecting, which is to acquire one nice quality, attractive silver coin for every year coins were dated. I truly have no idea how far back that goes, but the coins I generally find most appealing are the ones from the rolled die era. I s'pose we'll get there sometime before the end of summer.

I've got an 1889, but I can't photograph it because of the crappy light. But if noone has posted any 1889 coin 'til tomorrow (Swedish time (it's 12:12 AM now)) I will try to take a good photo. At least be sure that I can make it 'til 1882 and 1881 because I got great coins for those years!
