If my spreadsheet is correct, and we are not counting duplicates, then the total is 1417.

There is a margin of error, of course, but I did not calculate it.

I have absolutely no idea how many different ones I have, and I shudder at the idea of counting them all

although a big percentage of my collection is 1878 Morgans (and I have about 100 or so of this one date) I am guessing I probably have somewhere near 1000 different date different denomination coins

At a minimum 1,309 Varieties would probably push it to around 2,000

Darkside is over 20,000 different types.

That came up before here somewhere. I know of billion, trillion, zillion and maybe there is a bazillion. If so that would discribe my coins. MAYBE.

By the way (sadly) my total grade points on different US coins is probably only about 6000 (for over 1500 coins)! Well, it's not that bad, but close!
