I have looked through about $380 of dollar coins in Sydney in the last few days and have not seen one yet. However I did find 2 coins which were not released for ciculation! One was a '1984-1994 10 years since dollar coin replaced the dollar note' and the other was '1995 waltzing matilda'. Both were in very good condition, so they have not circulated much. I am sure they are not worth much (particularly since they are not in the packaging), but nice anyway I read a post that said 'keep an eye out for NCLT' and thought 'That is almost never going to happen' and now I have found 2!

My colleagues at second job had a 'nice shiney' coin for me, a CHOGM. If they are in Canberra, it may pay to visit your local NAB (National Australia Bank).
