Lifetime Celts, Sox, Bruins, Pats spoiled fan from Lowell Mass. If you've watched the new Mark Wahlberg / Christian Bale move 'The Fighter' or 1995's HBO documentary 'High on Crack Street: Lost Lives in Lowell', you've seen my hometown.

I grew up in NY, but now I've been in MD for the last five years. So I am a NY Giants fan. We lost to the Redskins and with our injuries it looks like it will be a long year. Everyone should take pity on me.

Quote: NY Giants fan. We lost to the Redskins and with our injuries it looks like it will be a long year. Everyone should take pity on me Never, ever, ever - being a Pats fan, I'm supposed to hate the Jets. While I do dislike the current Ryan version, I was a Namath-era fan. However, I've saved my vilest hate for the Giants (I also have enough left over for BC), and the "I refuse to play anywhere else" Manning baby. Also, my boss was a Giants season ticket holder.

Giants, eh? ... ummm, that'd be "Eli" Manning, right?
NOTE => I am a 100% San Fran 49ers fan, but I must admit that I think "Peyton" Manning is probably my favorite modern-day offensive player (sure, and I guess you could also throw Tom Brady into the mix => +500 yards in Monday Night's game, ummm, what was that!?) ... anyway ...
... but I'm sorry, jdavs18, "Eli" Manning and the Giants => not so much => you should be very thankful that they somehow put it all together and won you that recent championship, because they're gonna have a tough year => Philly, Dallas and Washington are all looking tougher than Eli's team.
Hey, but maybe Eli's older brother "Cooper" Manning can suit-up and try to help-out?
I'm just sayin'
hmmm? ... apparently this trash-talkin' stuff is kinda fun ... "bring it"

Since we are giving sports back grounds I am from Michigan, I love the Tigers and Redwings. I liked the Pistons for the most part except after they won the Championship in 04, they went from the going to work, blue collar Pistons, to the we want our respect and we don't EVER foul anyone Pistons and complained about every call. It made them hard to watch. I adopted the Patriots back in 1995 when I realized that being a Lion fan would ruin football for me. I picked the Pats back then cause I liked Bledsoe and Coates, and Curtis Martin (then he signed with the Jets and I hated him) If my Tigers aren't winning I also root for the Red Sox because 86 years is a long time and the comeback in 04 was epic. I hate all the Mannings, the Jets, the Cowboys, the Lakers, the Bulls, the Celtics, the Yankees, and the Phillies. That is my 27 matches of compatability, if you like what you read hit me up on e harmony. =p

The only reason I wrote all that was trying to stay up for the next 20 minutes so I can watch The Football Life part 1 about Belichek and the Pats.

Hey Rman if you guys ever decide to sell a couple tickets to a game you can't go to let me know. If you give me about a weeks advance I would love to get to Foxbourgh and see Brady at home before he hangs them up

I was only at 1 Professional football game in my life and I was a little kid. I might have even got in for free at that age. I know it was the Eagles and the Falcons. It was at Franklin Field and ironically on this very date on September 18 th 1966. As I recall, it was a long drive and a nice day. I was impressed with shoulder pads but just thought that they were the actual shoulders of the players and were maybe muscles or something since I was probably hearing about how big these guys were from my Dad and his fellow office worker who took me along. I was about 9 years old, For a while I remember hunching my shoulders up to look like the players and when my Dad asked me what in the world I was doing I told him I was a football player. There were much bigger adults sitting in my way so a lot of the time I had to look at the architecture and the people around me as I saw little of the game. I may have even took a nap. I do remember stanchions being in the way so we must have been close to a post holding up the upper deck and I remember pigeons flying overhead and roosting above the crowd. The Eagles won. I think my Dad and the other adult were DUI all the way home but they were fans of Phila and therefore very happy about the trip. I think I slept a lot of the way home. I do remember it somewhat though and that was my only NFL game I went to. Norm Snead was QB and I eventually owned a football with a facsimile of his signature on it and a football helmet that looked a lot like the one he's wearing here. My brother had a NY Giants helmet. We got them for Christmas probably later that year. We also had pajamas to match ( sorta ) the uniforms, him blue with numbers and me green. Probably one of the few times I was OK with getting any kind of clothes for Christmas.

Looks like 2 more people knocked out with everybody else safe...pending the Houston-Miami game for 1900Indian (although the Dolphins have already turned the ball over inside their 10-yardline and had a 22yard field goal attempt blocked...)
