Everyone else seems to have 20th century type set albums also. It appears that Dansco does not offer such a set. Is this true?

the 7070 album that we have been discussing in this thread is dansco's version of a type set

Thanks Bryan but I doubt that I could ever complete the Dansco album which requires both 19th and 20th century types. Just getting too old and on too tight a budget to finish it with the grades I would desire. I would hate to see all those empty holes.
I noticed that all the other brands offer albums for just 20th century coins. Now that I think I could fill with high grade coins and be complete, no empty holes and stay within my coin budget.

yeah the others are allot simpler to complete, atleast the others I have seen. I do not know if Dansco makes a 20th century type set only or if the 7070 is the only type set they have

Wow, reading this thread is starting me in a new direction. Almost everything I have now is from the 1900's, but the coins from the 1800's have a whole different look & feel to them. Looks like I can add another item on my list of things to do before I die.

I just received my first Dansco album which is for the type set. My other albums are Intercept. While I like the look of the dansco I have a couple of concerns too. You have to push the plastic to move when you want to add coins, there's no tabs to pull it out like the Intercept albums does. There's a gap between the plastic and the leather-like material. That material is very loose, is that safe for the coins?
So far I've been storing the raw coins in 2x2's with labels and graded ones are still in the slab. I'm thinking whether I should hold off using the album till I get a considerable amount of coins and then transfer them to the dansco album at the same time so I don't have to keep on taking the plastic out.

Brian1315 - Whitman makes a great 20th century type album. Look for "Whitman Classic Bookshelf Albums". quote: The old american copper can be hard to find in problem free condition almost as hard as finding nice bust coinage that are in high grade non problem free condition
Quite true, which is why I'm trying to fill those holes first (along with those pesky Seated dollars), then the rest of the holes will be much easier to fill. The real challenge for the copper and the bust stuff is to find nice original surfaces.

I am fortune enough to have ken3567 sending me a Whitman 20th C type album. I am looking foward to starting this collection as 20th C coins are easy to come by, the set can be completed with alot less $ outlay in higher grades and the early 20 century had some beautiful coins. As I have said before I am doing a Barber dime set, started as a date and mm set now it is a year set. Maybe it's me, but to try to complete such a big set of all the same dimes did get boring after a while. Maybe it's the tiny dimes? The type set collections stay fresh all the time. So as of now I will be working on the type set, large cent, Barber dime, and half, date sets and just buying random coins that I like. Nice and simple. Tony Tony

I just found out that Intercept is coming up with a type set album. It'll be out in another week or so. And its starting from where Dansco started but have pages/slots through 2010 including presidential coins.
