since it's only a couple of rolls I suggest opening them to see what is really there. In bulk I might offer $2 per roll for Wheaties and maybe $1 each for indian heads.

I'm not an error collector but it looks like there was a planchet error before the coin was struck.

that roll hasn't ever been opened, the seller rolled it himself a week or so before the auction.

I just found this coin on ecrater listed as "double stamped", I sent the seller a message and told them why it isn't double struck....can't wait to see how they respond.

a friend of mine sent me a small flat-rate box full of "error" and variety cents that someone gave his son for free. Almost everything in the box was mislabeled common pocket change...many had zinc rot or plain old PMD. Then I came across this one, I think it's a keeper!
