Qian You Yuan Bao (western Xia dynassty-Tanguts), most of the time these comes in iron varieties, your doesn't look iron to me. The copper versions are rare and worth a lot of money if in good condition.

It looks authentic, however there is a huge crack in it, so its value is likely greatly diminished because of that, pity.

I don't think it's 2.9 cm, it's more likely in the 2.7 to 2.8 cm range.

Not always, you just have to know your stuff. I bought a Chinese coin for 20 bucks when it's worth 500 usd on ebay. You just need to have the expertise to find the authentic ones. This is a skill that takes a long time to master.

The grades are extremely poor to be worth something, I also find it odd why this person doesn't auction his coin on the numerous Chinese auction sites for coins. Surely he can find a better price in China than US, since there are far more collectors of Chinese coins in China. Very sus.

1) your coins are not rare
2) your coins are in poor grade
3) you haven't disclosed how many coins you have.

I wouldn't do the deal because it sounds like a scam to me. I am collect Chinese coins, and if you want to know more about your coins, you can contact me privately.
