So what grade do you think you'll get and would that grade be worth the cost of sending it in?

It's sometimes referred to as orange peel and found on nickels in the early 80s. I pulled a number from circulation back in the day. As previously stated, they are due to overused dies.

Staining. Nothing more.

All errors occur as part of the minting or die making process. If you still disagree, please explain which part of the process this could occur? I know of no step which would leave that staining. Here is A link to a site developed and maintained by the top error experts in the country. See if you can find anything remotely resembling your coin. https://www.error-ref.com

Sorry, but nothing more damage from the feeding of other coins ( below UNITED), circulation and contact marks. I see no evidence of doubling.

The date is added upstream in the die making process, not to individual dies. There is no misalignment

The majority of currency collectors do not consider serial numbers like yours to be collectable. You may get lucky and find a new collector on eBay who will pay a small premium, but it usually isn't worth the effort. In any case, condition is everything. Crisp uncirculated is the way to go,

Copper is a very reactive metal and can quickly tone a variety of colors depending on the environmental conditions. Nothing unusual about your cents and they are not errors

Sorry, just circulation wear and tear.

The letters are placed on a Master hub,, which then is used to make master dies, which are used to make working hubs, which make working dies, which strike coins. Since the letters are not added to working dies, you can't have different letter styles unless they change the Master Hub, which was not done in 1983

As previously stated, these came from the estate of a former mint director and were never released to the public.

Should you disagree, you can always send it to a TPG for authentication. Short of having it in a slab, there is no way you'll ever be able to prove that it's an SMS.
