Hi, I was given a stickpin/tiepin in the 1950s which I have treasured and kept in cottonwool and a box ever since. It is an 1874 one gold dollar coin with a Princess head one side and a wheat wreath the other. It is very, very new looking with just a few scuffs. It is also very shiny. As if it has a sheen or gloss to it. Unfortunately it has the stick pin attached to a small area at the top of the wheat wreath. I would appreciate any information or advice regarding this beautiful item please. Thank you.
