I think I have the brother to the 64 proof DDO that I recently posted. This is a 1963 proof that I think is a DDO-003 on Vista and Wexler. Way too many photos, but I'm trying to find a way to put the photo of my coin and the marker coin in same frame. Thanks for your thoughts. Jim
Hi CCF.. This is a hard one.. I think I'm right that I have a 1960 DDO-006 as verified by Vista. I tried to show the Vista markers in photos alone with my photos. Hope it works. Thanks for your comments.. Jim
Looking through some one cent coins and found this 1999 with some extreme movement IGWT and Liberty ...you can't miss it. Some of it appears three steps. Thanks for your comments..Jim
Ok..This may not be the right forum for this kindergarten lesson on the procession of a crack, but I found it interesting. Five coins from same roll.. Note now the crack continues to moves towards the rim. It actually got worst. I don't know about you, but I'm having fun. Jim
First, let me say I'm sorry I did not update the date on my scope. The attached detailed photos were taken today and the full view were taken yesterday on my phone. Second, I admit I am no expert, but my time on CCF has talk me to research and learn!!! All of the following information was taken from the internet or emails. John Wexler was in the process of completing the attributions and photos on all 1963 and 1964 DDO / DDR one cent coins when he retired due to illness. Dr. Daniel Griffin has taken over the work and will hopefully complete the process soon. All I can do at this point is ask that you review the photos and offer your opinion..As a side note, some consider the 1964 proof one cent coins as being one of the rare DDO and DDR one cent coins.. I have been wrong waaay more that I have been right. Thanks, Jim
No..I did not take them in 2020.. The date on my scope has never been set up since purchase. They were all taken yesterday. I'll have to read the instructions to see if I can update. Sorry..
Thank you.. If you are informing me that there is no WDDO-033 on the Wexler list, better check again. Too late to do further research tonight. I'll get back tomorrow. Again, thanks for your comments.
There sure are a bunch of the 1964 proof cent DDO's shown on the Wexler site, but I "think" I've got it narrowed down to WD00-033. There's not a lot of markers so I'm asking for your help, please. Thanks Jim
Thank you.. Another example for Show and Tell. Does the Die Wear/Ridge Ring also cause what looks like split serifs? A new page in my learning book. Great graphics Coop. Back to the search.
Hello CCF... I was going through a few one cent coins tonight and found this 1989 D. Note the "gouges" above IN on IGWT. Also, I've marked what looks like it could be doubling and a few other strange marks near IGWT. I don't see the coin on any of the websites that I know about. I would appreciate your comments.. Jim
Found this one cent 2018 D in my wife's cup holder in her car. I can't find it anywhere on Wexler or Vista. Note all the split serifs and apparent "doubling" . A couple of the photos are sideways to show that the lighting didn't change the doubling or split serif. Natural lighting to avoid reflections. Thanks for your opinions.. Jim
