Ok thank you all and I'm very sorry about posting on the wrong page iv done this before for some reason I click on something and think it's the right one.
was just wondering if anyone sees any doubling on this coin i bought a album full of coins couple weeks ago and found some really nice coins that have been in the album for a while
Not sure if you can see it but on his neck comming out his jacket are two little solid short lines that's not normal it right where the jacket and neck line is almost in the middle
Can someone let me know if you can or can't see the picture of the reverse it's white what I see I can repost it but didn't know if it was just my phone
I have a beautiful Lincoln cent I'm not sure if it's a variety or not I have looked up in wexlers and variety vista but I can't find anything that match's so it might not be a ddo but just not sure what is underneath the d
It might not be one plus my phone doesn't do the best at pictures and the light glaring makes it fuzzy thank you for looking I will probably re post later on it when I can post better pictures
I just recently bought some almost finished albums of Lincoln cents. thought I would try to fill them and they have a lot of really nice Lincoln cents in them. I'm not that knowledgeable on the doubles dies. I'm currently trying to learn more about it just need some guidance because I kept thinking machine doubled coins were doubled dies. I kept wasting my time and I'm not sure if I'm figuring it out or not.I desided to get another opinion if you would take a look. I think I see doubling on this coin If I'm right I might actually be on the right track now just need some eyes and experience witch I know you all have please and thank you!
I hope the pictures came out ok if not I will get some clean ones when I get home and re post
Check it out I haven't seen a bunch of these like this if you run across them and say that's normal awsome just another quarter lol cause that's all it really ever is anyways but yes I only have one more like this and it's not as good as this one I know what a normal machine doubling looks like I see the every time I look at a coin they all have it business I agree with what you said for sure just not sure if you seen the difference tho if you find them like this a lot sweet cool #128526;
Yep I do collect ones that are of this nature mostly all coins have some sort of machine double this thing has it like 3 or 4 times on the A and the M I don't keep a bunch but if I come across these there very different in my opinion than normal machine doubling also E PLURIBUS UNUM to me looks different could be my pic or eyes just wanted to show it I'm not sure how good you can see it wish pictures was better cause you would see how this doubling is different lol I know everyone says that but it's wild looking like 3 times on that A and that M that's very very different
Are you sure this is from a worn die or cooling agent anyone that is for sure on this would they please post pics of another coin that looks the same for me to compare that would be great. Only reason I say this is because it's not just a little bit of the coin the rays show every letter that is close to the rim it's on the top the bottom both sides and only off those and in hand you can see the rays are actually the letter but it's not raised it's just very hail like scratches there smaller than even hair line I do agree somewhat with what you say does kind of seem caused from heat but to only have these comming off the letters in such perfect patterns and no where else on he coin or the rim just trying to get better understanding of what's been explained not saying that your wrong I would just like to compare another coin if this happens then surly someone has a picture and also there has to be a name to identify it as like is it a sort of machine doubling because overheated cooling I don't believe is a proper term if it's just something that your throwing a guess at please let me know that in the comments please because I'm not looking to sell this coin I found it And I always keep my found coins always there is a attachment finding something .buying one vs finding one to me doesn't have the same meaning to me I honestly would buy a coin to keep as a investment to sell years down the road I'm sure the quarter isent worth much more than a quarter I was just wondering if there is name or a picture of a coin with this around every letter around the rim of the coin only on front and back like this one so I can compare would be very grateful I'm only trying to learn more only reason I messaged again is because I'm at a stand still with it still and I feel like I was shut out because of value and just wanted to know what this would be called please if anyone else can give out suggestions please feel free to throw out ideas even if you 100% agree with overheated die and cooling I'm not tossing the idea at all just felt I got shut down quick on that answer I was gave
Thank you all for the response's I will have some time to dig deeper in it next few days and see what I can come up with and yes that does make sence to be overheated or something thank you all for sure a conversation piece just to shine around valuable to me for sure something I found in pocket change
