No mirror finish, I am leaning toward Business Strike with wrong Rev die. Looking at the shape of the lettering Obv compared to Rev, there not the same? Don't know, that's why I'm asking. Thanks
Is this what I think it is? A Proof that got put into circulation? Or a Business Strike with wrong die? Got to be one or the other, right? As you can see I have a few questions.
They all look great on the obverse but terrible on the reverse. Looks like they were in an old fashion coin book at one time and it got wet or damp. The other ones are:
1953 D 1955 D 1958 D 1959 No MM
Can not find any doubling or anything else on any of them. I know we are suppose to limit each thread to one coin, should I start a new topic for each one? I guess what I am asking is, Are these worth anything? If so how would they be graded?
Thank all of you for your input. Just so you all know, I am going thru my Mothers coin collection that she has had since I was a kid. I'm 62 now. Still have a lot more to look at and I appreciate your input.
Found this yesterday. Thought I might have a retained CUD but looks more like just damage. I can not see anything on the edge that might have caused this, your opinions.
More pics. I think I see the bulge on neck just below ear or possibly the "U" shape inside the lamination issue? I don't know, what could something like this be worth?
