I never experiment on anything that is worth more than face value. Like ponce de leon once searched for the fountain. I search for a safe cleanser, about twice a year when I am bored with a stinky dirty coin. Just me. I do not try to decieve anyone.

Well thats why I did a panteen experiment on the coin, too, to see what effect it would have on a coin. I like the results

On either side of the foldover you will notice the collar lines are impeeded. Due to an over hanging feeder finger, these areas have an inclined rim, so that would be good evidence to support my hypothesis Even the healthy looking rim has an inclined collar under it. I washed this coin twice for 30 seconds with panteen for its new photos. Also I will 2 by 2 this coin.

Is it not a folded over rim perhaps? The scragly part of the rim is pressed superbly

This beautiful coin reminds me of the three old derelect scooners, which used to be visible to you as you would ride RRoute One through Wisscasset. They are gone now.
