I don't have one so worth filling the hole for my s space till I can get one in better condition! I think it's an altered s mint maker just heavily worn. Take a look at what an altered s looks like in next picture.

I was coin bag hunting a bag of $200 worth of nickels however this bag is from coin star originally from the First Community Credit union of Coos Bay Oregon and it has pennies and other denominations in it as well and I am a penny collector so the first coin I see is a wheat penny so I dug to get to it and it's the first 1909 I have ever found in change but it looked like a 1909 p no vdb which is way cool to me this one being my first ever 1909 found in change that's really old wow. My dad was curious to look at it with his loop and said put it under your coin camera so I did and I see what looks like an S but the coin is so scratched up I can't tell for sure. So I would like your guy's opinion is this a 1909-S wheat cent?

You can buy a copy punch on ebay for about $53 on ebay and make a fake legal to own. Keep in mind using a sledge instead of a mallet or hammer smashes the metal into scrap oops.

2002-d Damaged penny shows wide am reverse however due to damage I believe! I keep this while looking for a real one.

AU details cleaned they don't give letter grades to cleaned or corroded coins unfortunately however can't you just ask them to label it genuine ungradable, that way its considered genuine. At least I like it better that way I don't want anything to say cleaned or corroded I'd rather it just say genuine and say ungradable on the back so if you were to ever have to sell it you can show the obverse with all numbers showing and then do a close up of the reverse so you cant see ungradable then advertise genuine you grade works every time. However you could get returns but not usually people like the word genuine!

I hope its real I had some tough luck buying an 1893-s it turned out to be fake but yours looks real mine was $3,150 down the tubes.

1982 D Copper Pennies, Small Date?

I don't have any 1982 D copper small dates but I added about 40 rolls or so of these to my hoard!

I figure they are high mintage but I read somewhere that the dies broke in January of 1982 for the 1982 Bronze small dates! Anybody here anything about that? I have only found about 16 in my life time so that can't be a coincidence. Or maybe everyone in 1982 was trying to collect all 7 or 8 varieties and culled all the small dates out. I have no idea! Please anybody with some intel I would love to here about it.

Nice Petespocket55 that's Awesome do you plan to certify any of those Bright Bad Boys? I want to certify at least 50 coins from my small hoard. I think the 2010 were worth the effort even if they ony grade au55-ms60 roll hunting is alot of work trying to find first issues. I got a few 1931-S mint marks that I would love to know if they are real a couple 1983 double dies and a few large cents I want to do it cheaply you know were you do at least 50 coins and use the platinum membership benefits. Has anybody found anything new in rolls I failed to turn my coins in today and had to drive a friend to pick up his car instead. I'm hoping the bank will let me take four bags from coin star coins a box of nickels a box of quarters and hopefully they found me some big silver dollar rolls to search. Ive been antigue and pawn shopping and bought one lot sale for 63 dollars and got about $167 worth of silver coins red book value only $81.67 blue book value. I have been doing Ebay a little but only won two auctions a certified vf20 corrosion detail for $25.00 and one 1954 proof cent for $2.87. Everything just goes sky high on ebay to hard to get any deals. I was max bidding on this one really nice 1827 large cent with full stars for $150 and in the last 15 seconds it went up to $828 insane who is bidding that high? The funny thing is I think it went hire then that because $828 was in red usually indicating that is not the final price. It had real bad corrosion I'm so glad I didn't buy it for $150.00 it would be so hard to resell that thing!

That's a fantastic Example robbudu! Now I believe that coin should grade fairly decent it is in original condition not alot of corrosion and you can see the full Liberty. It should be higher than F12. Thank you so much for your post! I would tell you a great video to watch on these coins at sale time but I am afraid they edited my post to not mention the video as that may be advertising. Just look up on google 1892 indian head cent sales if your interested in knowing it's possible value.

Ok I here that start a new thread. To conclude what was asked what was so special about the 1944-d is they picked the best one I had high luster no spots or scratches eye clean the rest have hairline scratches lower to no Luster still red but nothing special. I keep mine for volume by date I could care less if a coin will grade well as long as they are unc. I need more proofs!

If I was a know it all I would not have questions and I would have not bought so many 2014-s Proof cents back then as they minted far to many to ever retain what I paid for them. At first 2014-s cents were rare however mintages rose in the red book by 2016. I'm not to smart I just see deals act quickly and don't always get it right. I had some more control when west point pennies first came out highly unlikely they will be worth what people pay for them. I learned something here to be on the lookout for 2010 cents weighing 2.99-3.1 grams. Thanks!

Just for thought a copper sorting Operation has been going on for years in Oregon by one guy it was in the paper when I lived in Vermont however nothing has been talked about in years back then copper prices were rising and people talked about illegal melting if worse came to worst but copper theft became a crisis and the sorting operation simply was not be talked about again.
