I created this to celebrate the diverse colors and designs of the US currency over the last 100 years, going back to the series of 1923. Every denomination up to $100 is represented and each of the 20 signatures is different.

While these bills are very diverse, they are also uniquely intertwined.

This is a serial bouquet.
The nine bills from $1 to $50 add up to $100 and their serial numbers add up to 90431262.
The last bill is a $100 bill, not only the sum of the other bills but also the sum of the other serial numbers.

Denomination Serial #
$1.................12078291
$2.................02855521
$2.................06001064
$5.................07452631
$5.................07429251
$5.................09173961
$10...............04030118
$20...............29856598
+$50...........+11553827

$100..............90431262
I tried to incorporate some of the things I've seen and learned about on here so thought I'd share.

5 of a kind in a row occurs 1 in 2,883 bills, not too common but definitely findable. The standard for 'fancy' seems to be at least 1/~10,000 like radars or repeaters. Personally I'm deeply jealous...I've accumulated this group over the eons, been looking for years for consecutive 9's to complete my set and I saw two in the last few weeks here lol. Five consecutive 9's specifically occur 1 in 38,095.

DExx, my general observation is that for the (i dunno, 100) Q-block that I have, like 70% of the serial numbers begin with a 3 4 or 5 (vast majority begin with 4)...curious if you are seeing the same pattern? (irrespective of the prefix). There's no way that so many 4s is random, seems like the serial numbers should be evenly distributed, and the BEP tables don't give any indication of anything unusual. and it bugs the heck out of me lol

@luckyrollers, talking about your two $2 bills, which you show side by side; the 52070101 left margin visibly looks larger. Not an error nor an unusal variation for the general population of bills, but your two are from the same run. Not earth shattering but curious and it was noticeable

Just in case there were any doubt it's a pattern...

Noticeably bold ones seem to be about 1 in 150, in the same ballpark as star notes, relatively common confirming @datadragon's comments.

The upper second digit of the 2017 and 2017-A also has a tendency to be darker, but neither as bold nor as frequent as the 2013. about 1-250. I'm working on getting a set.

There are also staple marks on the same margin. Looks like a slightly larger bill that has had a piece removed rather than protrusions. Last week I posted a bill at 158.5mm so yours being 157 isn't the issue, that's well within the spec of 156 +/-2

No matter what, even if it is confirmed as altered, there will still be a huge part of the story missing. I'm trying to think of the journey of physical $2 bill itself.
--Before you, it was in some bank in Italy. But where was it before that?
--How did it get into that specific bank, and why would a bank in Italy carry any US $2 in the first place?
--Did all Italian banks routinely carry US$2 back then or randomly just this bank?
--If someone walked into the bank before you and deposited them, why would someone who has made what seems to me to be a high quality fake ever release it into circulation for $2 rather than try to sell it on eBay for $1000?
--How did it get mixed in with your other $2, and are the other 1976 bills from the same federal reserve and batch?

Like everyone else I'm waiting to see the outcome from having it validated, but we'll probably never know the whole curious story !

Even if not worth a premium in the marketplace, very cool to even notice that it was the last one! Aside, what does the 12477 mean that's on there four times?

Interesting observations! I also looked at the BEP tables...no record of FRNs going above 96M, and no record of sheets, experimental notes or anything else with that high of a serial number. The margins are neither perfectly symmetrical nor miscut (intentionally or otherwise), so if someone cut them from a sheet it's not obvious. So ...yeah a quandary! I wish it were in better condition.
