these are worth basically melt value which you can calculate at http://www. (124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com. Unless one of those mercury's is a 42/1 variation.....which would be worth a significant premium.....however cannot tell by the pictures

Nice find! The Canadian coins look like two dimes, a nickel, and a penny. The dimes (80% silver) are worth roughly the same as the US dimes (90%), but the nickel and penny aren't.

Honestly I'm not going to sell them for near nothing, but I don't have the time or the money to invest in coins right now. Incoming Craigslist spam for me.. lol

If you are going to sell them, check out similar sales on ebay to get an idea of what you can expect. It's a bit of work but you'll get closer to the actual value of the coins. Dealers probably can't make a good offer because they have to cover the costs of their business and still make a profit. And they know what their regular customers are willing to pay.... so if you want more than they offered you'll have to do a little more work to sell them. So if you have the time -- good luck. By the way, nice find! I keep hoping someday I'll find someting cool like that. LOL
