If it was mine, I would have already opened it up.... with that being said throw it in the safe for the next twenty years. Then when you find it again, post it on here so we can debate it again. Just a thought...

I was really hoping it was a role of BU Franklins when I saw the wrapper...

I'm not sure what the melt price (copper/nickel) would be as there is no silver in the rolls of 1976 Half Dollars made for circulation...

I only said that because I "found" a few rolls the other day that I had stashed 5 or 6 years ago. It was fun finding them, because I honestly forgot I had them!! It was like crh in my own house.

Steve, you did it wrong.
It's "Doc! DOC!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHCK!!" (Mr. Fox had a panicked yell like no other.)

Good thing you're not me. Those puppies would have been laid out on my desk before I even posted the thread.

It was like crh in my own house. I know what you mean. When I moved about ten years ago, I came across some forgotten Wheat cent rolls.

That's cool! Too bad the mint made so many coins in '76.....numismatic value is very low for all issues. I'd probably crack it and look for gems.

jbuck - The only reason I am collecting today is that I moved. I found my old "collection" from when I was 10 or so and wow what a spark will ignite!! I am eat up with it again! So when I say throw it in a safe and find it again, I mean it! It will start the craze all over again. Thats either good or something else!!

Gothic, I have the solution. I will give ya 15 bucks for it and you can rest assured the roll will remain safely ensconced in a roll box with other unopened rolls and loved and cared for.
