Nothing new under the sun. We've been playing Whack-A-Mole with these people for quite a while now; they took a break but you can rest assured that ebay is so familiar with their MO that nobody will lose a cent. It's at the point where (even though we still do it) reporting them isn't really necessary. |

I'd accuse them of being the dumbest animals on Earth, but they're not, actually. So little effort is involved on their part that they can afford to constantly spam ebay with this stuff, and even a single success will be sufficient return on investment. In the meantime, they just do whatever else they do to keep food on the table. The key is, as restrictive as China is with regard to certain other Internet activity, they pay no mind to this whatsoever. Eventually that will change but in the meantime it's on us. Thanks a bunch, about2. Random folks like yourself are part of the reason this is such a non-event. |

The Chinese govt will do NOTHING to stop this. Never have and never will. It behooves them far too much to have this going on. As for the dealer, this really is boiler plate stuff for them. As Dave pointed out, this has been being seen for years now. At this point it is almost comical except that they DO snag people still. |

I think ebay will get involve only if they don't get their fees paid. I know it's cynical, but it seems that they're mildly interested in bouncing scammers unless they get scammed. |
